Organized in 1882, the National Association of Power Engineers (NAPE) is the oldest engineering association in the United States. Today, NAPE is dedicated to its mission of providing advancement through educational opportunities to its members.

Becoming a member of the DC 1 Chapter of NAPE. provides full access to the benefits and network of stationary engineers in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area. Chapter Meetings of the NAPE DC1 Chapter are held on the second Wednesday of every month in the Chapter Room at the Alexandria training facility.
